Paddling For His Life
John admits panicking, explaining, “I paddled like I never have in my life back to the boat. I felt some fear but mainly was disappointed. They didn’t accept me right away.” He even shared, “Well, I’ve been shot by the Sentielese… By a kid probably about 10 or so years old, maybe a teenager, short compared to those who looked like adults.”
Writing About His Experience
One would think that John had gotten the hint when the tribe members started shooting arrows at him, but it would seem that he was 100% insistent on doing what he believed was God’s work. In fact, he spent the next night putting his thoughts to paper, writing down his experiences while thinking about what his next move might be.
