Two decades later, nobody still discovered who stabbed Epps to death. So, cops decided to look into Fountain’s life. At 50 years of age, he had a long rap sheet. He had several rape convictions and a conviction for manslaughter. But that’s not all. DNA recovered from the scene of the crime connected him to the victim. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 23 years to life on July 1, 2013.
