20+ Editing Fails from Hollywood Blockbusters that You Probably Missed

The Little Mermaid (1989)

Disney’s 1989 full-length animation feature film is not without errors. It wouldn’t be surprising since animators probably miss out on some details when working with thousands of plates to make pictures move. In the scene where Ariel gets her voice back after Ursula maliciously tricked her into giving it up in the first place, she’s seen barefoot on the deck of a ship as the magical conch crashes right beside her. Apparently in the next scene, not only did the shell contain the little mermaid’s voice but it also held a pair of magical shoes that appear instantaneously on her feet!

Anaconda (1997)

Set in South America’s Amazon, this 1997 film about a giant, man-eating snake has a scene that defies science. Right before the climax, a river boat is seen moving away from a cliff with a water fall in the background. If you look closely, the waterfall doesn’t have water “falling” but has it rising! Seems that the producers wanted to cut costs and used the same clip from when the ship was arriving and just played it backwards. Snakey. I mean, sneaky.
