In the first instalment of Marvel’s Iron Man series, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is taken captive by terrorists and is imprisoned in a cave with Yinsen. To help them escape, Stark thinks up a plan for an ARC reactor, which is already seen on the work table even before Tony shows Yinsen the blueprints. Hmmmm. Not only that, his chest already has a glowing disk which looks uncannily like an ARC reactor. So was there an extra one lying around? Why didn’t Tony make another suit for Yinsen if they HAD and extra? What a selfish playboy billionaire philantrophist!

During the “this was no boating accident” autopsy scene in the 1975 thriller, the character Matt Hooper, an oceanographer fascinated with sharks, is heard saying the line “This is what happens…” which didn’t make sense as it doesn’t fit the dialogue before and after the scene. It also is noticeably different in audio quality compared to the rest of the scene. Steven Spielberg admits that this could be the result of the numerous editing cuts they used on the scene.
