18. Tosa Inu

This dog is notorious for being banned in certain countries like Denmark, Spain and Great Britain. Due to its immense size, the Tosa Inu was primarily bred for fighting. Because it’s known for just that, it is considered to be dangerous by many communities. Plus the fact that it can reach a weight of 200 pounds and a height of 32 inches adds to the scare factor.

This canine, which is said to be a crossbreed of both mastiffs and pit bull terriers, was originally meant to be used as a guard dog to protect its owners. Its look and size alone would make anyone think twice before even getting near it. Its demeanor, although not necessarily aggressive, may seem intimidating just because of how it looks.
