27 Fierce Dogs With Killer Reputations

20. Weimaraners

Weimaraners are also known as the Greydog and the Grey Ghost, due to its gorgeous grey and shiny coat. Originating sometime during the 1800’s, they were formerly used as hunting dogs, meant to track and retrieve the kill of their masters. With a highly energetic and intelligent demeanor, these dogs need lots of activity to keep them sated and relaxed at the end of the day. Because they thrive heavily on love and affection, they can become aggressive with a lack of socialization. They are also better suited for families with older children, rather than those with young ones.

21. Rhodesian Ridgeback

This beautiful dog came from Southern Africa, and they used to assist their owners while they would hunt. Not only could they help track lions, they could even corner and keep them at bay. These days, Rhodesian Ridgebacks are better known for their inert energy and intelligence. Although they aren’t normally aggressive towards others, this may be the case when not socialized properly. They are quite happy and protective of their own family pets, even cats, but may attack another person’s cat due to the fact that he doesn’t know it.
