12. Bull Terrier

This particular type of dog was really bred to fight. Hence, they have one of the worst reputations amongst most canine breeds.  Although in today’s modern world, these dogs are very loving and caring for their owners, they have been given a bad rap due to their history of dog fighting. They are though, unbelievably strong animals and can still be stubborn and quite possessive of the people they love. Even more so, they are even more protective of their food.

13. Akitas

Primarily bred to guard members of Japanese royalty, the Akita was also used to hunt deer, bears and even wild boar. Although the dogs themselves wouldn’t go in for the kill while on the hunt, they would keep the tracked animal hostage until its master would come to make the kill. Usually quite loyal to their owners, Akita’s do not like other dogs and may attack quickly without any sign that they might do so. They are especially known to be aggressive while eating, and should not be approached while in the middle of a meal.
