Walking Through The Crowd
Marina went on to explain, “People could not confront with me as a person.” She continued, “How lucky I am [that I lived].” When she was looked at as an object, people had no problem coming fact to fact with her, but when she became just like them, it was almost like they couldn’t believe what they had done, since they had looked at her like an object that wouldn’t have any ramifications to their actions.
The Aftermath
When the whole ordeal was over, Marina shares how those 6 hours were some of the worst hours of her life. She even shares that it was so traumatic that the stress had caused some of her hair to turn white. She said, “I remember going back to the hotel, looking in the mirror and I found a big piece of white hair.”
