Pleading Not Guilty

While Orion had admitted to murdering the four adults in his grandparents’ house that day, the judge decided to hold him without bail and have him assessed at the Bridgewater State Hospital for ‘a mental health evaluation.’ But after 40-days within the center, they would decide that he was mentally fit to stand trial.

Wanting Him To Remain There

In spite Orion being deemed fit for trial, his lawyer insisted that he remain in Bridgewater while waiting for his trial to commence. Attorney Edward Wayland said, “He was determined to be competent so the case is going forward but I asked that he be sent back to Bridgewater because it’s the best place for him in terms of medications, treatment and care.”
