Lori Erica Ruff’s story began in 2003, when she met and married Blake Ruff, who was the son of a well-established family in East Texas. The pair met in a Bible study class and, despite her being secretive and avoiding questions about her past, Blake fell in love with her and they were married in 2004. The only person in attendance was the preacher.

Lori maintained that she was from Arizona and that both of her parents were dead. Her father was a failed stockbroker, according to her, and she claimed to have no siblings. It bothered Blake that she would not share information about her background or childhood, but little did he know Lori was being secretive for a scary reason.
