The 3 Men Who Saved His Life

When Callahan was strong again, he was able to stand with his saviors and thank them for carrying him ashore. Because of them, he was finally found at last, and he had survived an epic journey of which many others would have probably died. And when he was found, he shares, “It was like my senses had been plugged into an electric current – every color was vibrant, every smell intense. Everything was beautiful.”

Putting The Pieces Back Together

After recovering, Callahan made his way back home from Guadeloupe to St. Croix, then back to America, taking about 6 weeks before he made it home. Although he had made an initial recovery, it would still be another six months before he would be able to make back all his lost muscle mass. His mind, on the other hand, was stronger than ever before. Soon enough, he was back on boats, racing and setting sail on the open sea once more.
