An unlikely clue

Some of the items that were supposed to be of Rebecca’s that were handed over to the Coriams was a pair of flip flops. It was found by the pool, from which the theory that she was washed overboard was drawn.

But it was highly unlikely that the footwear was Rebecca’s, according to the Coriams. It was too big to be hers, and its Hawaiian design was something Rebecca wasn’t a fan of. With nothing else to point them to where Rebecca might have gone or give them a clue as to what happened to her, the discouraged couple flew back home.
