If there is one thing that’s certain in life, it’s that life itself can be quite uncertain. One man would find this out in a surprising way when what he believed was going to be a quick grocery run would end up with him keeled over on the sidewalk and on the brink of death because of a heart attack. Through the goodness of complete strangers, they took turns to perform CPR until a rescue helicopter arrived, which was an incredible 96 minutes from the time he collapsed.
And remarkably, he’s still alive to tell the tale.
Howard Snitzer
54-year old Howard Snitzer happened to be a chef searching for work as he had recently moved to the sleepy town of Goodhue, Minnesota to live in with his girlfriend, Tammy Ryan. Goodhue was considered so remote that it was described as ‘population about 900, a town without a traffic light.’
