Social media has taken the world by storm since its conceptualization in the early 2000’s, with popular sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter being enjoyed by billions of people worldwide. One’s image on social media is not only a mere reflection of one’s personality but is now considered a valuable commodity of which selfies are an important ingredient. In the quest for the best looking selfie, people go to lengths in staging the best photo to suit their social media profile. Unfortunately for 21 year old Oscar Otero Aguilar, who in a drunken state decided to take a selfie while holding a loaded gun to his head, what he thought would be a cool selfie turned out to be his last.
