Tourist Fatally Blasted By Airplane Jets
Princess Juliana airport is a popular, yet risky runway strip, where flights arrive and leave St. Maarten, in the Caribbean. Located precariously close to the beach, many tourists standby and watch as the planes take off and land, despite warning signs located all over by airport management. Sadly for one New Zealander, as one plane was taking off, the 57-year-old woman held on to one of the fences while watching the plane speed down the runway, and was knocked off balance, causing her to hit her head. Unfortunately, she died from her injuries.
