Tupac Shakur

.

On the night of September 7, 1996, the Las Vegas Strip was buzzling with action as hordes of people and celebrities came to watch the Mike Tyson-Bruce Seldon fight scheduled that day. Leonard Jefferson, then a 29 year-old film student from Los Angeles, was with a friend and was supposed to watch the fight until they decided to just cash-in on their tickets and enjoy the night. He stepped out of the casino to get some air and saw that the strip was packed with people and that cars were at a stall because of traffic. It was here that he saw celebrity rapper and actor 2Pac, whom he knew, inside a black BMW beside his SUV. He decided to say “hi” to Tupac who also recognized him. During this exchange of pleasantries, Jefferson took out his camera and asked Tupac if he could take a photo just before traffic started to move. Minutes later, the rapper was gunned down in a drive-by shooting by unkown assailants and died.
