Two Weeks Later

Two weeks after Donna’s disappearance, on July 9, detectives went back to the house of Burgess to look into more possible scenarios into the events that took place. Police recovered knives in a cabinet, which were sent to forensics for testing. All the while, Donna’s family and friends could only stand by and wait, praying that somehow she would miraculously make it home, or that they would at least get more answers into her disappearance.

Finding Burgess In Florida

Finally, a few months after Donna had gone missing, Burgess was found in Florida. He was brought back to Los Angeles and sent to the LA County Jail. His bail was set at a staggering $250,000. And yet, Burgess was able to make bail and secretly leave the state of California once again.
