Steven Burgess, Sex Offender

During the search into Donna’s computer and other belongings, a few more details about ‘Sinjin’ began to come out. From the family’s description of his motorcycle to his roommate’s recollection of his latest activities, it would seem that Burgess had packed up his Ford Ranger pickup truck and drove off into the night. So when police began their search, Burgess himself was also nowhere to be found.

Finding A Few Of His Belongings

Although they didn’t have proof of it yet, police were pretty certain that they were on the right track looking for Burgess in the disappearance of Donna Jou. On a stroke of luck, someone had found a plastic toolbox tucked underneath bougainvillea vines around a mile and a half from where Burgess lived. Inside it, they found the license plate ‘SINJIN 1’, which Burgess had used on his truck. And aside from that, there was a motorcycle helmet, rope, rubber gloves and a scrub brush. All the signs looked like a classic case of abduction.
