Since the police had found out that not only her abduction story was a lie, but that she was also under criminal investigation over stolen prescription drugs, she was brought into court to face charges over her felonies. Although she ‘voluntarily surrendered,’ she had still caused an investigation into her alleged ‘missing person’ case that cost the local government up to $100,000 in funds, if not more.
