Backtracking
Investigators knew they needed to go back to the last few people that had seen her alive, as well as where she was last seen. Apparently, a neighbor had said that they saw Laci and Scott’s golden retriever muddy and still leashed, walking around the neighborhood. And when they brought the dog back home, Laci’s car was in the driveway, and her personal belongings like her wallet, keys and bag were inside their home, but that she wasn’t there.
