Ed and the children followed the noise until they saw men working with excavators and large machinery. One of them saw the big group and asked who they were. The victims explained that they were from Chowchilla and they had been kidnapped. They also soon discovered that the kidnappers had buried them in a rock quarry in Livermore, California. This was a good hundred miles away from home. Nonetheless, they were saved and soon, the police came to collect every single one of them.
