Taking Paintings

The men then took the painting off the wall, but the wooden panel attached to the frame was too heavy to carry. So, they left it on the floor and headed straight to another priceless collection. They still went for Rembrandt and cut out The Storm on the Sea of Galilee out of the frame itself. This was their first big steal.

About the Painting

The Storm was one of Rembrandt’s first paintings. It showcased his ability to represent the bible’s history as well as capture the viewer’s attention. As much as historical as this painting as and as expensive as it could be, the men didn’t stop there. They apparently weren’t satisfied with their loot. In fact, they went for other priceless treasures.
