The Crossroads is a neighborhood in Kansas City anchored by the strikingly contemporary Kauffman Center, which hosts opera, ballet and concerts. Crossroads has a lot of art galleries, restored warehouses, hip coffee bars, barbecue joints, brew pubs, and shops galore. It is known to be one of the most concentrated gallery districts in the nation, with over 400 local artists and around 100 independent studios.
