Rare but not unusual
Mummified creatures are rare but not unusual. Several cases have been recorded elsewhere such as the 35-year-old mummified cow in New Zealand whose organs have wasted away but whose body remained perfectly intact. What makes this case in Jasper, Georgia different is that no one knew the identity of the creature they found inside the gnarly tree. Could it be something mythical?
