Man’s best friend
Experts surmised that the creature was a dog that had somehow become trapped within the confines of the tree’s trunk. The absence of fur made it difficult to imagine that this was man’s best friend as the only thing left covering the carcass was thick, leathery skin. But how did it remain intact despite the possibility that scavengers could have eaten what was left of it?
