Unusual tree

The crew were making good progress with their work, clearing the area of chestnut oaks at a steady pace. A while later, one particular tree caught their attention. It was a chestnut tree alright, but had a different appearance and characteristic to it. Nothing like anything they’ve seen before. One of the men took a swing at it with his axe and was surprised the minute it struck the tree. It was hollow inside!
