Rachel Bassini, the owner of a beautiful East Village penthouse condominium, had rented out her place before on Airbnb and never had any problems. So when a man named Jeffrey contacted her, she checked his profile and she saw that there were no reviews, but she thought he was a family man. She shares, “but his profile was of him and his wife and young daughter – seemingly harmless.”

She was shocked beyond belief at what she found when she got home. She said, “Upon my return, I found feces covering the bathroom and couch, used condoms all over the bedroom, and chewed gum on the floors, walls and couches, among other horrendous things.” Then, to add insult to injury, she found pictures and videos of a crazy party in her beloved apartment, showcasing an incredible amount of people, booze and debauchery everywhere. And what’s even worse, he didn’t bother to give her back the keys to her penthouse. Suffice it to say, she’ll probably never rent out her apartment again.
