12. Nausea
As with any condition that disrupts the normal functioning of abdominal organs, nausea is also a sign of an underlying kidney stone problem. This is because the digestive tract and the kidneys share the same nerve connections that receive signals from the organs and transmit them to the brain. When these nerve receptors are activated by abnormal stimuli, such as the presence of a stone, it causes people to feel queasy, clammy, and sick in their stomach.
