The man, who remains unnamed, was questioned by police in 1997 and 2015 and admitted that he engaged in choking acts during sexual contact with Amber. He reportedly knew her for about a year and a half prior to her death and had sex with her more than 10 times. He considered her a good friend at the time. But did he have the motive to kill her?

“These choking acts… are consistent with the cause of death and provide a reason for the abrasions around (Amber’s) neck,” Eaton’s attorneys Katie Gutowski and Margaret Johnson argued in their motion to admit the evidence. Since Amber had died of asphyxiation after allegedly being choked and suffocated with a plastic bag, it certainly was consistent with the choking acts. What was revealed next was even more shocking.
