Robert Creek said that his family dealt with “years of despair” following Amber’s murdered and was glad to see that “justice was served.” He added that while she was a confused teenager, “She was intelligent, sweet, she had a beautiful voice.”

The family is forever grateful to the police department that ultimately brought justice for Amber, and District Attorney Robert Repischak said that he is also glad to serve justice. “For some reason this case hit me,” he said. “I kept going back to images of her lying in a marsh in the snow…. It took nearly 20 years for us to bring him to justice, but we did it.”
