Caught Cutting Class

So on the day that Kach decided to ditch her classes, she was caught by Thomas John Hose, the school guard. Many of the students were apparently afraid of Hose, but Kach had formed a friendship with him, truly believing that they were friends. This was also the day that Hose kissed Kach for the first time, and would so begin her life imprisoned in his family home.

Her New “Home”

Hose, who was 38 at the time, ended up bringing Kach to his family home, forcing her to remain in an upstairs bedroom of his parents’ house. Hose had been living there with his two elderly parents and his 22-year-old son. Kach didn’t realize that when she chose to “runaway” this time, it was going to mean a life stuck inside his house, and kept away from the world for over 10 years.
