Alfonso Rodriguez Jr. had only been out on parole for a few months after serving a 23-year sentence. The judge handling his case had said that he was considered one of the most likely convicts to strike again. And that’s exactly what he did. Following Dru to her car after work, Rodriguez kidnapped her, dumped her in the back of his vehicle, drove her out to the woods where he proceeded to rape her, stab her, put a rope and bag around her head and leave her to die. Although Rodriguez never admitted guilt for Dru’s brutal rape and killing, he was still found guilty and put back behind bars for good.
