When Poaches found out that LaToiya was also pregnant with his baby, he told her to get an abortion. LaToiya refused and would go on to take care of herself and her unborn child. Poaches continued to remain in her life, and when she was 5 months pregnant, had even accompanied her to the doctor, which is the last time anyone had seen her alive. Eventually, the authorities were able to discover that Poaches, the father of LaToiya’s unborn child, had killed her and her fetus, after being overwhelmed thinking he’d have to take care of 2 babies at the same time. He is now serving time in jail for killing LaToiya and his unborn child.
