The Dad Blames The Mom

Apparently, Louise’s father, Wayne, was unbelievably upset at his wife for allowing their daughter to date a man 8 years older than her. And yet, when he find out that Louise had chosen to run away with David, rather than force her to come home, he supposedly told his wife, “No, she has made her choice, she should go off and live her life.”

Then Wayne spoke to his daughter telling her, “This is the life you want, you’re now an adult, I love you and I’ll always be your daddy, but now you can take care of yourself. If this is what you want, you go for it.” And that’s exactly what Louise did. So in 1984, David and Louise would go back home and have what was said to be ‘a small intimate church wedding, just the two families. Then they went back to Texas to start their lives together.’
