25. Martian meteorite
Even things from out of this world were put on sale on eBay, like the Martian meteorite named Zagami, which was sold on eBay in 2003 for an incredible $450,000. There are tens of thousands of meteorites known to man, but only more than a hundred are from Mars. Which is why the Zagami meteorite sold for that staggering amount.
26. New sea urchin species
In 2006, an unsuspecting seller auctioned a sea urchin on eBay. The creature turned out to be a new species, which was later named Coelopleurus exquisitus.
