In 2004, the beloved alien character from Steven Spielberg’s 1982 hit, “E.T. The Extraterrestrial” seemed to have made an appearance as a breakfast cereal. The Australian seller who discovered the E.T.-shaped breakfast cereal decided to auction it on eBay and it actually sold for AUD 1,035 ($780).

15. Ghost in jar

A jar, which allegedly contained a ghost, was found in an abandoned cemetery. The keeper of the jar, a man from Arkansas, claimed that the ghost in the jar terrorized him, prompting him to auction it on eBay. It sold for a whopping $56,000. The description in the listing warned that the seller would not be responsible for what happens to the new owner of the jar.
