Deciding To Adopt Another Baby

Although they were quite happy with Rhet, they wanted to expand their family by adopting another baby. They had heard of another little girl from China who had a genetic liver disease. All it took was seeing her photo and they didn’t hesitate to make the decision to bring her into their home. They knew that her only chance of living a long and happy life was if she could get a liver transplant, and her chances of that happening in China were slim to none.

Bringing Home Brooklyn

So in January or 2015, the Faris couple made their way to China to adopt their soon-to-be little girl who they were naming Brooklyn. Just as it was with their older daughter, they went through a number of different interviews, home visits and approval from China before they could go. But they knew that finally bringing Brooklyn home would be the perfect gift after all the difficulties.
