Brooklyn’s disease was better known as Alagille Syndrome. It was a rare genetic disease that made it practically impossible for her to properly cleanse her blood, and so it caused major liver damage. The family of 4 had to bring Brooklyn to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago every 3 months to get checked.
