The fugitive that never stopped

One would think that the while the Thunder might never slow down or give up, the crew could at least show fear, but the fugitive ship and the bandits in it didn’t display signs of weakness. In fact, they continued to fish under the cover of shadows by constantly turning its local transponder off. They would then fish and slip in and out of ports with hardly anyone noticing. How did they do this? They changed the ship’s name and registry in order to fly under the radar and hung what sailors call the “James Bond license plates,” as these could be taken down and changed anytime. Because of these dubious acts, the Thunder was even officially stripped off its registration and was declared stateless. Simply put, maritime authorities from any country could legally arrest them. No one did until a few men put up a brave and united front.
