Forced to retreat
After two tough months of chasing, arguing, and ramming, the Thunder sat still, burning through most of its supply of fuel. The Sea Shepherd crew sent five members in a small skiff with messages in bottles written in Bahasa for the Thunder’s crew to read. The note said, “We have no intentions of putting you into trouble. We should work together.” However, the men on the ship remained stubborn and threw back a round metal tube that hit one of the five men, forcing them back to a retreat. What did they have to resort to in order to end this?
