A cause for celebration
While most of the evidence sank with the ship, this had been a success for Sea Shepherd. They had stopped the biggest trawler and their Ocean Defence Campaign had been a relative success. More than a 100 days of pursuit and the number one on Interpol’s purple list was no more. This is definitely far from the last of their mission, but to date, this is their biggest success. The world can only hope that this scares the other poachers into silence and that this is only the beginning for the ocean life to thrive once again.
