Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg past growing up in Boston was a far-cry from his successful Hollywood present. In 1988, Wahlberg was arrested, charged, and convicted for assaulting Thanh Lam, a middle-aged Vietnamese man whom he struck in the head with a large wooden stick. Wahlberg knocked the unfortunate man unconscious, all while spewing racial slurs on the injured man.

Wahlberg’s violent streak didn’t stop there. later that same evening, the problematic 16-year-old returned to the same place he attacked Lam, this time setting his sights on Hoa Trinh, whom he punched in the eye without warning.

For these crimes, Wahlberg was charged with attempted murder. He pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to two-years imprisonment, of which he served 45 days. To this day, the Hollywood producer, actor, and former model and recording artist carries a permanent felony record.
