Flavor Flav

William Jonathan Drayton Jr., more popularly known in the music industry as Flavor Flav, is an American celebrity who gained fame as part of the hard-hitting hip-hop group, Public Enemy.

The musician and rapper had a notorious childhood, being in and out of jail for robbery and burglary since the 11th grade. In 1991, Flav was convicted and imprisoned for assaulting his then-girlfriend Karen Ross, for which he served 30 days, and in the process, lost custody of his children. Because of this, he spiraled out of control, sinking deeper into substance abuse and addiction.

In 1993, Flavor Flav was charged with attempted murder after shooting his neighbor for reasons undisclosed. He served 90 days in prison, but got in trouble with the law once again later that year for domestic violence and marijuana charges.

From 2011 up until 2015, Flav has been involved in 5 different brushes with the law, all of which involving domestic violence, drug possession and DUI.
