Phil Spector

Phil Spector is a retired record producer and incarcerated felon best known for developing what is known as the Wall of Sound, a music production style that gave more depth to how rock and roll was to be heard and appreciated by many in the years to come. He is credited for being one of pop music’s most influential people.

In 2009, Spector was convicted of second-degree murder, following the fatal shooting of actress Lana Clarkson, who was found on a chair in his Alhambra, California mansion, with her mouth blown away by a single gunshot wound. He is currently serving a sentence of 19 years to life.
