Michael Jace

American actor and convicted murderer, Michael Jace, is best known for playing the role of Los Angeles cop Julien Lowe in The Shield, a hard-hitting police drama shown on FX, appearing in 89 episodes across seven seasons.

On May 19, 2014, after a violent confrontation with his wife, April Laune, Jace called 911, stating that he had just shot his wife. Police who responded to his South L.A. home found Laune dead from gunshot wounds apparently inflicted on her by Jace himself. The actor was immediately placed under arrest and was formally slapped with a murder charge by the L.A. County District Attorney’s office. Jace was convicted of second-degree murder 2 years later, for which he is serving a forty years-to-life prison term.
