Eventually, Krebs brought the authorities to his property in April of 1999. He had told them that he had buried both girls in different areas near his home. While Rachel was buried further away from the house up the dirt road, Aundria was only a few yards away. Both girls were buried in shallow graves and were already in different forms of decomposition. While Aundria was only 6 weeks dead, Rachel was already past 5 months.

Was It Due To His Upbringing?

After hearing the gruesome details of what Krebs had done to both girls, his defense team looked into his childhood to see if his upbringing was to blame. They argued that Rex was the result of an abusive father, and an alcoholic mother who had left him and his siblings as young children. His uncle, Art Krebs, who heard about what was going on, decided to visit Rex’s dad Allan, to tell him about what was going on. His uncle saw a photo of Krebs and said, “Rex had this big handlebar mustache and his head was all shaved. I didn’t recognize the kid. After looking at him for the longest while, I still didn’t see the Rex that I knew.”
