Reopening the Case

But then, Forensic technology was still in its teething stages. By 1998, the experts only had used this kind of method for four years. Semen found on the scene had been analyzed and for two years, it yielded zero positive results. They were again at a loss.

Bringing In the Original Suspects

Nonetheless, the cops brought in the four original suspects just in case they might find something, but no one matched the DNA sample found on the semen. They had to get a sample to test for the nationwide database, but they no longer had enough for that. Could this mean that the doors were closed for the case?
