The Other Possible Suspect
The investigators also considered Kort. He was being extremely cooperative. In fact, when they asked him to take a polygraph test along with the others, he was more than willing. When asked why he agreed to the test, he simply said that it was better for the cops to rule him as out as a suspect and hone in on other possible suspects.
Understanding
Kort was very understanding. He knew that he was a suspect, but that didn’t surprise him. After all, he himself was an investigator. He knew that most murder cases involved someone who knew the victim. Strangling somebody is a very personal act, and this is how Wendy died. Impersonal murder cases often just involved shooting. Hence, there could actually be more to the story that the cops had yet to discover.
