Craigslist was founded in 1995 in San Francisco, California, in the high hopes of supplying people with everything they need. Whether they are looking for homes, jobs, services, or other various items, amongst other things, Craigslist has become a site heralded by over 50 billion page views per month.
Sadly, there is also a dark side to Craigslist, and this older couple from Georgia learned this the hard way.
Bud And June Runion
Elrey “Bud” Runion, 69-years-old, and June E. Runion, 66-years-old, were a happily married couple who were already retired and living in Marietta, Georgia. Bud was a Vietnam War veteran who had worked for AT&T, while his wife June had been a 2nd Grade Teacher in Cobb County. She then eventually took a job as a Preschool Instructor at Johnson Ferry Baptist.
