4 Days Later

Finally, 4 days after the search had begun, the couple’s SUV was pulled out of a lake near Telfair County. The county was approximately 3 hours away from where the Runions’s lived and had a population of only around 5,700 people. And not too long after the car was found, the bodies of the elderly couple were found as well.

Finding Them In The Woods

Not too far away from the lake where the SUV was pulled out, the bodies of Bud and June were found in the wooded area nearby. Apparently, both had been shot in the head and partially hidden amongst the trees off the side of the lane that goes by the name Webb Cemetery Road. The lane was very close to the nearby pond where the car was found half-submerged.
